Is it really free to build a CV?
Yes. The guided builder, live preview, all launch templates and the Resume Check are free and need no account. Your guest work is saved only in your own browser. You pay only if you choose to export a finished CV as PDF or DOCX, and the exact price is shown before any charge.
What do I get with Pro?
Pro ($12/month, cancel any time) unlocks unlimited clean PDF and DOCX exports with no watermark, plus full AI writing help and higher chat limits. If you only need a few exports, the one-time Export Pack gives 10 export credits for $12 and the credits never expire.
What is an ATS, and which template should I pick?
An ATS (applicant tracking system) is software companies use to read uploaded CVs before a human sees them. If you are uploading your CV to a company portal, choose Pure ATS — a single column with standard headings that these systems parse most reliably. For roles where a person reads your CV first (retail, sales, hospitality), a designed template like Maroon Sidebar presents better.
What is the Europass template and the CEFR grid?
Europass is the European Union’s standard CV format, expected by EU institutions, Erasmus+ and many European employers. Its language section uses the CEFR scale (A1–C2) across five skills: listening, reading, spoken interaction, spoken production and writing. Our Europass template prints that official-style grid automatically from the levels you set in the Languages step.
Is my personal data safe? Do you send my CV to AI companies?
Your CV is stored under your account with row-level security — no other user can see it. Your contact details (name, email, phone, address, links) are never sent to any AI provider, in any feature. AI writing help, when you use it, receives only the working text needed for that suggestion.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel Pro any time from your account page; exports you already downloaded stay yours and Pro runs to the end of the paid month. Unused Export Pack credits never expire. See the Terms & Refund Policy page for the full refund terms.
I built a CV as a guest. What happens when I sign up?
Right after sign-up you are offered an import of the CV you built in this browser. Accepting saves it to your account; declining leaves it only in this browser. Nothing is ever uploaded before you have an account and say yes.
